Brent grew up in Augusta, KY, a small town alongside the Ohio river. He attended Augusta Independent School, where he played 4 years of varsity basketball and lead the team on a historic run. Brent averaged 32.5 points a game, making him the all-time leading scorer in school history with 2,614 points, 1,002 of which came in his last season with the panthers. His accolades speaks for itself; McDonald’s All-American Nominee, 10th region player of the year, Mr. Basketball nominee, All-State 1st team, and Kentucky All-Star. 

After visiting numerous colleges, he committed to Bellarmine University. During his time with the Knights, Brent had continued success on the basketball court, averaging 18 points per game and being named GLVC player of the week, All-Midwest 2nd team, 1st team all GLVC, and most valuable player his senior year. After playing for Coach Davenport for 4 years, Brent graduated with a bachelor’s degree and signed with a team in Lisbon, Portugal to follow his dream playing professional basketball. After hanging up his shoes, he decided to pursue athletics and moved back to Louisville, KY. He had a tenure at Anchorage Public School as director of athletics for 2 years. Now the Associate Athletic Director at Holy Cross High School.
